Little Black Pearl Art & Design Academy (LBPA) is always seeking to enroll students who are interested in attending a school where students are expected to excel academically and have an interest in building skillsets in Art and Technology. Interested candidates must be enrolled in grades 9-12 grade or 8th graders applying for early acceptance; live in the City of Chicago; and have an interest in Art or Technology (Painting/Drawing; Music; Graphic Design; Architectural Design; Glassblowing; and/or Dance).
ADMISSION AND PROGRAM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Little Black Pearl Art & Design Academy prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation or need for special education services. Students interested in enrolling in LBPA can apply directly to the school.
Please complete the initial application information below in its entirety. A school official will be in contact with parent/guardian to complete the enrollment process. Upon enrollment, the following documents will be requested:
Proof of age
Proof of residence
Drop or release forms from their prior school
Transcript (when available)
Test Scores (8th grade test, ACT, PSAE, etc.)
Copy of IEP or 504 plan if applicable
Updated Shot records
All applications will be reviewed. Upon review, parents of the student will be required to meet with an administrator to discuss enrollment. Students may be asked to demonstrate talent in their selected area of interest.
YEARLY STUDENT ACTIVITY FEES
A $200.00 yearly school fee is required for all students.

To be considered for admission, an enrollment application must be submitted and the admissions criteria must be met. For immediate consideration, complete the online application, or call to schedule an appointment to complete your application on-site. Parent/guardian and student must attend a MANDATORY admission orientation.
