Parent participation is key when building a culture of student learners and parental involvement. Little Black Pearl Art & Design Academy welcomes parents to become active in their child’s learning experience, support the build-up of a culture of active learners, and share their truth as a means of parental advocacy.
The school’s goals and mission are to empower our students to become active learners and role models and create opportunities for growth through academics, social activities and cultural awareness. Our open-door policy invites parents to support the LBPA team in our ability to develop and implement programming that supports our mission.
When parents are present, so are students! We welcome and encourage parents to get involved in building a community that: nurtures, educates, influences youth in understanding their worth while preparing them to become active community advocates.
Having a voice is powerful. As an advocate for youth, we know how important it is to have active parent participation. For this reason alone, we encourage parents to speak their truth, use their voice, and provide LBPA students and staff with the support needed to demand a positive educational experience for every child.
